A change in Georgia law earlier this year brought on the need for a change to a Gordon County ordinance regarding fees for poultry farm operations, but local code updates will have to wait.
Georgia Code O.C.G.A. 48-13-9 -- entitled "Limitation on authority of local government to impose regulatory fee" -- resulted in a local change to the formulation of permit fees associated with new chicken operations as required by the state.
